Story Time..

Cats: Teen Life| 1 Comment »

Hey guys

So instead of blogging every day, I’ve been writing stories to post on here whenever I think of them. Obviously one story is below, and since each of them are only a couple scenes each, it won’t always be the same story, since I have about 10 saved on my computer. So bear with me, and enjoy the chapters. Sooner or later, though, all this is going to be a book, so I won’t put it all on here. Ya’ll will just have to wait for the book :]

I shut my locker and hurried to the parking lot. The school was completely empty since I had to stay behind and wait for my mom to get off work. So, imagine my surprise when a heard a voice behind me three hours after school let out.

“Take off your shirt.”

I turned around and saw a really hot guy in dark jeans and a UCLA shirt staring back at me. “Excuse me?”

He smiled. “Just wanted you to turn around.”

“That was the only thing you could think of to say?” This guy had some brass ones.

He had his hands in his pockets. “No, I had others but I thought they’d be a tad inappropriate.”

I just shook my head and started to walk away.

“I’m Jason,” He called out.

I turned around again and stared at him.

“What, you don’t have a name?” He asked.

“No, I do. I just don’t know how much I wanna give it to you.” I replied very nonchalantly.

He smiled again. “Alright, then I’ll have to give you a nickname.”

Oh, I can hardly wait for this. He stood there staring at me for a while, until he finally spoke. “Ray.”

I was confused now. What was this guy on? “Ray?”

“Yeah. You know, like sunshine? Your smile reminds me of sunshine.”

I can guarantee I blushed. He obviously had an agenda, but so did I. “I gotta go.”

He stopped me. “Don’t I deserve your number?”

This guy was priceless. I had to laugh. “Give me one reason why I should give you my number.”

He shrugged. “I came up with that nickname all by myself.”

“Congratulations.”

“C’mon Ray. It’s a just a number,” He coaxed.

“Just a number?” I asked.

He was still smiling. “Yeah.”

I thought about it. “Alright then. Three.

He looked confused. “Three?”

I nodded. “Yeah. It’s just a number, right?”

He laughed. “Any chance three is a part of your phone number?”

“Hmm…‘fraid not.”

He thought about it for a second. “Ok, so that narrows it down. It’s made up of 1-9, not including 3. I’m closer than I was before.”

I laughed again. “And a bit more desperate.”

He shook his head. “No, I’m never desperate.”

“Right…”

“I’m not. But uh, you seem worth it.” He walked right up to me, and whispered in my ear “See ya, Ray.”

And God did he smell good.

Life is Grand…For the Time Being

We can finally do laundry in our own home! An actual working dryer came yesterday, and our fridge was repaired so we can eat now too. I never knew having food in the house was so exciting.

This week has been pretty crazy. Wednesday I was in Manhattan Beach. Thursday I was at a friend’s house. Friday was Wild Rivers. Tomorrow’s Grandma’s. Next weekend is the OC Fair.

In fact, I’ve only slept in my bed three nights this week. Oh, the life of a teenager…

Lucy & Ethel Bring Home A Futon

Cats: Teen Life| 1 Comment »

My brother has been sleeping on the couch for the past week, since my mom hasn’t been able to buy him a futon yet. Well, today we finally found one and borrowed my uncle’s truck (which is going to be mine one day-when i can afford it) to bring it home. We also bought a dresser, so the futon (frameless, I might add) was propped up against it.

As we were driving down the toll road, the futon came loose and fell out. Yes, it flew over the side of the truck and landed in the middle of the highway. Believe me, I could not make this up even if I wanted to. So we put on the hazard lights, backed up until we were right next to the futon, got it and dragged it over to the side of the curb. It took us about ten minutes, and a fair share of cursing, to finally fit the futon in the bed of the truck, again, and tie it down with rope. But once we started the car and hit 20 MPH, it almost flew out again. After another round of cursing, I got in the back seat, stuck my hand out the back window, and gripped the futon so it couldn’t move an inch. At this point, I didn’t care if my brother didn’t like it, considering he never saw it. He was going to sleep on that freakin thing if I had to duct tape his body to the mattress. He’d probably just chew through the tape like he did last time we duct taped his mouth shut. Hey, he thought it was funny. It was loving.

So we’re driving down the highway, me with my hand out the back window holding on for dear life, and my mom behind the wheel swearing like a sailor. We had to go down to the Consignment Store to meet my brother so he could fit a large living room chair into the pick-up. So now we have a dresser, futon, and a chair. Oh, just wait; it gets better.

We end the day with my mom turning into the wrong driveway at a gas station; while she’s trying to get back out to the street, she manages to yell out obscenities that imply sexual actions, in all her rage and glory. The back window is still open, mind you, so we get a really good look from a guy fillin up at the nearest pump.

Man, I can hardly wait for tomorrow.

Chaotic Week

Cats: Teen Life| No Comments »

Don’t really have much too say tonight. Besides the fact that our rented dryer in our apartment broke again, so we’ve been using the laundromat across the street just to dry our clothes. Oh, and our Rent-A-Wreck fridge is being replaced with a stainless steel fridge from Home Depot. We’ve been having a lot of appliance issues the past couple weeks, as you can tell. And BOY has it been fun….

I’m starting school in a couple months. I’m not going back to my old school, because it’s a really crappy one. It’s also been in the papers a lot lately, and not for good reasons. So I’ll be going to Tesoro High, which is supposed to be populated with all the kids from Coto de Caza. Hey, maybe I’ll find some really rich friends. Then I can finally get my pony…

Lucy’s At It Again

Cats: Teen Life| No Comments »

My mom was at her prime today. She’s had her “Lucy” moments, but today was especially good. It started off with her hitting every red light driving my brother to work. Alright, so maybe that’s not very funny. But as the day progressed, she managed to put items into a cart at Trader Joe’s that wasn’t hers, knock down a case of glass bottles, spill her lunch all over herself, and trip over the vacuum.

And that was all from 9:30 AM to 4 PM. God only knows what will happen tonight when we have company over…
